How Important is Getting an MRA in 2012?
Friday, October 7, 2011 at 3:36PM The current Board of Supervisors has already begun discussing how much county employees' MRA will be during this upcoming budget cycle. In order to keep this conversation going and to ensure pro-worker Supervisors stay in office, union members need to step up and support endorsed candidates.

- Supervisor Penny Gross (D) - Mason District
- Supervisor John Foust (D) - Dranesville District
- Supervisor Gerry Hyland (D) - Mount Vernon District
- Supervisor Jeff McKay (D) - Lee District

Now is the time to support the candidates who support working families. Each week we are phone banking and knocking on doors for endorsed candidates to help them get elected.
Union members won a 2% raise this year by advocating and meeting with the Board of Supervisors. They heard you and will continue to do so if you show them you have the power to get them elected. Do you want your MRA next year? Let's keep this discussion going with Board of Supervisors already working to make this happen. If you are willing to do what it takes to keep these pro-county employee candidates in office, please call Frank Hood at the union office (571) 432-0265 or on his cell phone (309) 657 4595 or email him at frank.hood@seiu5va.org
